 Back and scarier than ever are the Sanderson sisters !

Almost 30 years after the 1993 original, Disney+ debuted the first trailer for the eagerly anticipated "Hocus Pocus 2" sequel on Tuesday, promising a movie scarier than we remember.

Cassie (Lilia Buckingham) wishes Becca (Whitney Peak) a happy birthday in the trailer's opening scene. Becca responds, "Birthday routine, scary movie marathon, same as every year," when Cassie inquires about her plans.

Later, Becca and her friend Izzy (Belissa Escobedo) go to the woods to execute the birthday rite with a candle—specifically, the Black Flame candle.

"The new year has begun. also a maiden, a mother, and a crone. We are here to ask one thing of you. Make our intentions a reality by "Izzy and Becca remark as they are illuminated by a full moon.

The Sanderson sisters Winifred (Bette Midler), Sarah (Sarah Jessica Parker), and Mary (Kathy Najimy) emerge from the ashes as the Black Flame candle ignites, causing the ground beneath the two companions to fracture. As Book awakens, you also notice a black cat in a nearby store, possibly Zachary Binx, staring carefully.

The sisters are efficient. "your kids in a locked room! We are indeed returned, Salem!" Winifred yells while laughing sinisterly.

They travel to a fair where, in keeping with the original, the organizer requests, "Hey! The Sanderson Sisters are involved. You must be looking for the stage, right?"

Always," Winnie replies snarlingly. (True fans of the first movie will recall the Sanderson sisters singing the seductive "I Put a Spell on You," which was used as a distraction for the parents while the Sanderson sisters gathered the kids they needed for a potion to keep them youthful forever.)

The sisters are reduced to dust by the end of "Hocus Pocus," having been outwitted by Max Dennison (Omri Katz), his younger sister Dani (Thora Birch), and his classmate/lover Allison (Vinessa Shaw).

In the follow-up, Cassie, Becca, and Izzy must make an effort to put a stop to the witches.
