Lil Tjay improving after Edgewater shooting

Lil Tjay, 21, was critically wounded after being shot in the early hours of the morning, but things are looking up for him. After the incident, there were untrue allegations that he had been rendered immobile or perhaps in a coma. According to Lisa Evers of FOX 5, detectives now want to ask him about the incident that almost killed him.

In relation to the incident, three males have been detained. In the encounter, another man who was being detained was shot.

Mohamed Konate of New York City is accused of three counts of attempted murder, having weapons in his possession, and armed robbery, according to the Bergen County Prosecutor's office. Both Bronx residents Antoine Boyd and Jeffrey Valdez are accused of using guns in the incident.

Tione "Lil TJay" Merritt was found by police after they responded to a 911 call reporting a gunshot at a Chipotle restaurant inside City Place at 12:08 a.m. on Wednesday, according to the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office.

Officers from the Edgewater Police Department also went to the nearby 478 River Road Exxon Station where they discovered another Boyd suffering from a gunshot wound.

According to the prosecution, the shooting "does not appear to be [a] random act," suggesting that Tjay was the intended victim.

When the incident took place, Konate, according to the police, was attempting to rob Tjay, Valdez, and Boyd. Tjay's companions Valdez and Boyd were each discovered to be in possession of illegal weapons and were charged.

"Dis gon be a wonderful summer," the Bronx native, who has more than 12 million views on YouTube for his most recent hit song "In My Head," posted on Twitter earlier this month.

Fans and members of the entertainment industry have written messages of encouragement online.

With a prayer hand emoji, fellow rapper French Montana commented, "pray for my lil bro lil Tjay."
